City of Mounds View Overview:
Mounds View is a city built on "Pride, Progress, and Partnerships." The community is centrally located in the North Metro area of the Twin Cities at the juncture of State Highway 10 and Interstate 35W. In addition, Interstate 694 is just a short distance away. During 2005, the City and Medtronic signed a development agreement that resulted in the sale of the City's golf course and the groundbreaking for a new office campus for Medtronic's largest division, Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRDM). The initial phase of construction includes 3 eight-story office towers and a five-level parking ramp for over 4,000 employees. In 2006 the City received the top economic development award in its category in the United States by the editors of Business Facilities magazine, a national magazine for site selection, for the Medtronic campus project.
